Scottish National Rhododendron Society Show

Today we nipped over to Garelochhead which is about a 30 minute drive from Appletree Cottage to visit the Scottish National Rhododendron Show at the Gibson Hall in the village

Inside the beautifully restored Gibson Hall all manner and types of rhododendron flowers were on display waiting to be judged by experts

Outside the hall in glorious sunshine people were selling plants (mostly rhododendrons),

from makeshift stalls. The event although small appeared to be enormously popular.

A really nick trip across to Gareloch in the sunshine.
